Both stories refer to the same laws tho right?, And this is the first election theyve had since they passed the laws five months ago?

cnn article above says the law was only passed in april this year. everything i see on google before april is just talking about whether they'll get the laws passed or not. where are you getting 2013 from?

The law was passed in 2013, then it was debated on earlier this year. NY Times article states, "though, [the law] had been in effect since 2013.
