I've noticed a pattern to those women who try to shame guys for complaining about being Friendzoned:

They ALWAYS say something like they don't owe us sex.

Why make it about sex? I don't want BENEFITS, I want LOVE.

Try being with him, but DON'T have sex with him. Tell him you've decided you want to wait until you're married, that you've rushed into a physical relationship too quickly in the past. If he truly loves you and just wants your love in return, he'll be more than willing to wait for you. You'll know his intentions quickly enough, I assure you.

You weren't friendzoned - she's just not interested. Maybe try physically talking to her, like in person. I hear women like that.

I wasn't friendzoned, I just thought this would be a funny meme a lot of people would relate to. But I personally have never been friendzoned.

Sorry, my bad. I'm glad you haven't had the experience.

Oh. So i don't need to talk about the thousands of times I've been friend zoned? Ok that's good. (Me being the person i am the girls i asked out never took me serious and thought it was a joke. The struggle is real.????????????????

Your question marks confuse me.

I'm not sure what kind of person you are, so I'm not sure what you mean by that. However, the point is that people who allege "friendzoning" are usually blaming the other person for what is either their own failure to effectively communicate their desires, or their inability to recognize that the other person's consent is a requirement that they don't (and shouldn't) have control over. You are not owed a romantic relationship because you have romantic feelings. It hurts to hear that your feelings aren't returned, and it hurts worse the more it happens. I feel you there. But don't for a second think that the other person has done something wrong by not returning your affection.

If you're the exception to this, and you harbor no animosity to the women who've rejected you, then awesome! I wish you all the luck in the world. Maybe reevaluate your tactics? Ask a female friend for help?

Lol. I wasn't blaming the person. I was actually blaming myself. Me being the person I am I weary heart on the outside.(Figuratively)I was mad at myself for feeling things for someone that doesn't love me. That's the thing about me. O blame myself for a lot of things. Even things that are way out of my control. That is the sad truth about me.

As a man who has a higher-than-average female and LGBTQ+ friend base, I have yet to run into a single person who was "friendzoned" who isn't a straight male. Like, ever. So while, yes, I'm absolutely making an assumption that may be inaccurate in this instance, my personal experience informs that assumption.

As for my assumption that the meme was based on its (no apostrophe! Sorry, I'm that guy) creator, yeah, my bad there. I was wrong.
