Actually, if i know that you do a good job, and you need the work, I'd hire you for $100 vs. another random person who comes by and offers to take less. If he has a good reputation and it's his only job, I might still hire him. I am a bleeding heart in many ways, and an idealist. I'm not naive, I don't think I have nothing against either of you, or for you, for that matter. This whole thing though, is one of the reasons we have immigration problems, is that people are so desperate they will take wages most of us would not, and the employers take advantage of that. I have nieces who live near Bakersfield CA, and they work in the fields with the immigrants (my nieces are white/euro) and not afraid of the work, but they say most other non migrant people don't want the long hours and low pay. So I don't know, what was the original post and what were we talking about? Jobs? My 2 cents, anyway...thanks for offering to rake leaves, we just let the wind take them out into the country.
