Yes, was interesting to see how my "elderly" relatives reacted to Obama. But then again I guess if the US had a national referendum (not that they ever would) can you imagine how people would react if the president invited a leader of another country to give "advice". It was OK because deals already in negotiation or implementation with the EU would take priority since the process had already begun. Having to renegotiate them separately with another entity is a new complication which obviously would have to wait for the prior to be handled and be fitted to accomodate such. That's just simply realistic and sound. Free trade and market expansionists would agree with the position.
