If a site owner DID have a twisted hobby, might he remove the upvote/downvote bar I've heard about and replace it by hiding memes from a handful of downvotes? Why hide good memes when there's already a FLAG to report them?
Why allow trolls to continue with impunity when innocent memers complain using comment flags, the Feedback Form and the 'general' email address to contact management?
Have you ever seen a moderator chime in to tell trolls to behave or be banned? Or just ban them with a comment explaining why they were banned? I would LOVE to see a link where that happened. In my 5 months here, I haven't seen a single example of a moderator moderating the behavior of trolls. Have you? If so, please post a link.
Why hide a meme because of a few DV's? The meme flag would do the same. And why deny the memer information on how many people UV'd and DV'd the meme, while still allowing it to be visible?
Why would a site owner ignore attempts at communication, especially from the people creating the site content? Where is the authority figure here?
In my OPINION, all of these things (and more) might seem to indicate exactly who is responsible. Who said a site owner can't participate as a zillion point memer immune to any and all complaints to his antics?
Just my opinion, though. The facts seem to fit, but I would appreciate a better explanation - if there is one.
