My pleasure I had no idea until recently that you should follow a service o dog if it approaches you and thought most people didn't know that either. Sorry to hear about your eyesight. Hopefully advances in medical science will help. Breakthroughs everyday. (((hugs)))

I keep hoping Stem Cell Research will be able to regenerate my optic nerves (destroyed from Glaucoma)... but I still have other things wrong with my eyes.
My best hope for the future are the Self Driving Cars.....Then I can have my independence back. Go where I want to go, when I want to go, anytime of the day or night, without having to call Paratrasit (Parastranded) and HOPE that they can take me, without having to ride on the bus for 3 hours, next to smelly strangers with special needs who don't understand personal space and need to learn to brush their teeth better. (yesterday's trip in a nutshell)

I feel you. I had a Gf who took care of a paraplegic and we would take him out using para-transit. Lets hope for some rapid breakthroughs in stem cell research.
