Oh yes, and he had us all sacrificing our time sitting in even/odd gas lines, with 15% interst on home loans. He knew all to well how to make America sacrifice.
LOL, yes since I lived through it, I couldn't know. Even Odd days ring a bell to you? No? But you are right, I was incorrect about the interest rate, it was 18%, right up there with the inflation rate under his administration.
rofl laughing.... when confronted with fact, you go on to a different approach. I actually meme'd a couple years ago he was a decent guy. He just sucked as a president. I also like how you use Jack Kennedy there to make a point, a man who would disgust you today.
I know you're right. Its funny, when I went through Ga in the '76 there were peanut signs everywhere, when I went back in the 90s there were none to be found!
for a while in the late 70s there was a shortage of gasoline. If your plate ended in an even number you could get gas on an even number day of the month, odd plate/odd day.
For the record, la was right, that did occur in '73 and then there was a second crisis in '79. I guess 40 years clouded my memory a bit. However the 18% interest rates and inflation were accurate.
Oh my gosh - Carter was by far the weakest American President EVER.
When Iran died in darkness due to the Islamic Revoloution in the end-70's dozens of Americans were killed and hundreds held hostage. Carter isolated himself in the White House for more than 100 days - unwilling to take any military action.
PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP; A 71 YEAR OLD BILLIONAIRE WHO GAVE UP HIS GOLDEN YEARS TO TAKE ON A CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION KNOWN AS THE
'DEMOCRATS'...
HE'S DOING IT FOR FREE...
