I never understand these protests, is flopping dead on the ground like a fish really going to change anything? You are just being assholes to the normal people trying to actually get by in their lives and the people who work in the store who ARE ACTUALLY TRYING TO MAKE A LIVING and don't have time for this shit.

Good for them to stand up for what they believe in.

Well... Lay down for what they believe in, yeah, but still, good for them.

Well who remembers the Waco siege, a bunch of religious nuts who were armed to the teeth and that didn't end well for them.

A complete fallacy that a some Jews armed with pistols could have fought off the Wehrmacht and the SS. It's like saying armed Americans could fight off the US Military, that would only be possible if the US military was completely useless and some people around the world are starting to think that...

"Some Jews with pistols could have fought off the Wehrmacht and SS" that would never be my argument. But if the entire population of "non party members" had not been disarmed and disallowed to own any firearms it would have been harder to round them up and get them on the train cars. That is my argument. So what you did is called a STRAWMAN fallacy.

If you didn't default to strawmanning my argument perhaps you could comprehend it if I explained it to you. All you would have had to do is ask for me to clarify but alas...

Well you assume these people knew what was going to happen to them through the science of hindsight, they didn't. Even without guns, they would have fought or run away if they had known. They didn't know.

American Japanese were rounded up and put in interment camps in America, so why didn't they fight back and use their guns?

I don't concede they "didn't know what was going to happen." They didn't know exactly what was going to happen. They knew it wasn't going to be good because of all the government restrictions placed on them and the social stigma from their peers.

Comparing the Jews being sent to concentration camps to Japanese internment is a false equivalence. There had not been months or years of societal and governmental oppression and preparation of the Japanese before that happened. Those Jews were already disarmed and their spirits were broken.

Arbeit macht frei

Even when Jews mainly existed in ghettos, they didn’t know what was happening. (After all the Nazis didn’t publish The Final Solution). News was difficult to get and they believed those arrested or had disappeared were being sent to labour camps, not being killed but yeah if they had a few hand guns, they could’ve held of the Germans. The Warsaw upsrising, after smuggling in weapons did not end well for them

I think a army of the 6 million jews who where slaughtered could have fought off the germans if they had been armed, only to an extent cause of German tanks but better to die fighting than in a gas chamber
0 ups, 7y
6 million Jews were not in one place and it didn’t happen on a single day, plus they didn’t know of the gas chambers. Jesus! Do Americans get taught history at school anymore, or do they just get patriotic nonsense fed to them. Reminds me of a Simpsons episode. The school bell rings and all the kids run out of the school, the teacher stops them and says, “I haven’t told you how WWII ended. We won!” The kids all respond by chanting “USA! USA! USA!”

Cause that could never work...a guerilla force fighting off a superior force...like in Vietnam (twice)...or Afghanistan (twice)...or...

Two armies supplied by outside forces who had the support of the local population, which made it easy to hide when needed. Please explain how the Jews in Germany could do that
0 ups, 7y,

I...didn't think that was the point. The point was, that a numerically and technologically inferior fighting force...ARMED...can hold off or even defeat an army with tanks, planes, etc. THAT'S the point. But, even the Jews could have done that to an extent in Germany or anywhere else. Like anywhere, there are segments of the population that would support both sides of a conflict.
0 ups, 7y
Huge differences, 1) Afghans and Vietnamese were fighting for their homelands, 2) They knew the terrain, the Americans didn't, 3) The terrain in Afghanistan and Vietnam supported asymmetrical warfare, 4) The Afghans especially had a history of armed fighting, even the civilians, 5) The Afghans and Vietnamese had the support of the local population and could hide when needed among civilians, something the Jews could not do

Therefore you argument that the Jews with guns could have faced off the German army without most of them being killed is flawed as only a gun loving American could put forward.

I’m not sure the 8th amendment allows for capital punishment to be applied to cases of vandalism. Also the 6th amendment would require someone be found guilty by a jury and not simply be arrested.

It's like popping into some alternate reality narrated by robots reading from a script taken from the fascist playbook. Don't these kids have parents and grandparents to tell them what happened in the real world they actually lived in?
