My almost 15 months on Imgflip have been fantastic, everyone here is super nice and I will miss each and every one of you. However, making memes, commenting, etc, has start to become a chore, to the point where I become unhappy from the thought of simply replying to all my notifications. As some of you may know, I am a student and want to spend more time on my studies. Imgflip has been taking up way too much of my time, I've even turned in homework assignments late because I was too busy on Imgflip. In short, I want to focus on more important things in my life. I shall delete my account tomorrow (which is so when this meme is featured you know who posted it).

Don't delete your account! Just leave it open so people can see who made these awesome memes. Otherwise, it just says anonymous, and then your comments say "deleted".

I understand your need to go, and you will be SORELY missed. If you leave your account open, you can always pick up with it later, like in a year or whenever, so you don't have to start over.

Well, I'm not sure what you mean by the "slow down" part, since I'm just submitting my two or three memes each day, like anyone else. And if someone takes the time to comment on my meme, I like to respond to show that I appreciate it.

So I'm trying to think of what I can do differently so I don't "burn out". Do you have any specifics?

Looking, I see I've been here slightly over ayear, you been here 3 months. Yet you already have over 3 times the points I do. Part is activity, part is likability (I tend to get in quite a few testy debates, so not clocking as many points per comment). But it's still a lot.

There was this married couple last year, Jessica and Chad. Jess got over a million points in a month, maybe round her 6th week they both quit because they had kids to take care off.

Others with less dramatic of a rise get burnt out too over time, so I really can't recommend what is too much or how to pace yourself.

But this is all good information, so I appreciate your taking the time to give it to me. :-)

I hardly submit any at all anymore, just occasional ones for upvoting in case I get downvote crippled which hasn't happened lately anyways. That's just me, because while the front page is nice, it kinda freaks me out keeping up with all the replies. I tend to keep to my own side niches.

Commenting itself is time consuming, and keeping up with expectations - your own and theirs - of quality of submissions, plus all the activity might choke the fun aspect, turning it into a chore.
