I've had the same thing happen to me several times. I post something and it gets a few upvotes. Later someone else posts it an it hits the front page. It's all about luck and timing

That's how they do you here , they downvote bomb you to limit your views then wait a while and repost your stuff

I can't say that I've seen the downvote to steal so much, but there is a lot of reposting. So often they don't even change the template or just add a "." to it. I was shocked when I started searching the text in a lot of the front page memes.

He stole one of mine recently (itself stolen, but as part of a gag with the 123Guy clones last year). Funny thing is, he's been harrasing me on that meme (my only submission so far) for months.

Some good points. The thing I didn't like about 123Guy was the hypocracy. He stole stolen memes (ok in my book) but harrassed people who did the same.
There were one or two users who defended him, maybe more who were generously supporting him with upvotes. The site is here to have fun on, I'm not sure how I would treat a 123Guy style user now.

As for upvote trolling, I've seen users complain about it, and even accuse ssby of being an alt. I think it's fun for ssby to leave an upvote image on memes he upvotes. If it gets him on the leaderboard, good for him. I see DashHopes and other top users leave upvote images, no one complains when they do it.

But his whole persona was odd, exceedingly neurotic or rather, autistic-like. The fussiness, the stilted language, the plaintive befuddledness. Not that that excuses him doing what he complained about, but either he was mentally compromised or just a really good troll.
Apparently he came back as BenJ then another after, because GoC, ssby, and others harrased the heck out of him, as was done with 123Guy. Seems 123Guy started it, but not with those later profiles, if that was him.

Dash, and whomever else may do it, but they usually add something to it as well and make them on the spot, not just the same exact meme spamming like ssby.
But I do find it all a bit questionable, especialy as others start doing it as well.

I saw that a group of users piled on Ben. I wasn't down with that, didnt have the stomach for it. I'm pretty sure I only commented once on one of his memes. I know GoC had it in for him, but I never heard anyone say they thought he was 123Guy. Coincidentally I noticed a user today, same tagline that 123Guy had. Style seems different though and a 100 percent featured rate :)

It itself was stolen, but that was part of the 123Guy imitator gag last year, where we all stolen that meme from each other and submitted it. 124Guy kept resubmitting it every day even.

I just never repost anything here, not even my own (which I could probably do).
