By that logic, you should cancel your car and health insurance, take the locks off your doors, reset all your passwords to 'password', and then maybe you can claim to exist fine with no fear.
That's fine for you, but not for me. You choose to fear guns and want to remove them from people who committed no crimes. I choose to be armed and refuse to become a statistic on some street corner. You respect my rights and I will respect yours.
On the contrary, I don't live in fear. My life outside of work is actually very calm. Most people are nice enough and mean me no harm, but why should I take that chance? And how exactly am I hurting you with my choice to hold a CWP and be a responsible gun owner?
