Nobody talks about the temperature raise of the oceans, one of the main reasons (together with their acidification) of corals dying. Keep on blowing CO2 in the air - in a few decades there will be no colorful reefs left. GLOBAL WARMING - PARTICULARLY GLOBAL OCEAN WARMING DUE TO CO2 INCREASE WITH CATASTROPHIC CONSEQUENCES!

Then we got space x blowing holes in the atmosphere. IMO, the weapons and missile testing is what is the biggest problem, because in addition to all the problems with pollution, those holes in the atmosphere make the UV rays stronger. The ozone layer wasn’t destroyed by hairspray, it was all the WWII era nuclear tests. These missiles are just making it all worse.

Or at least a combination of both (chlorine can be quite obnoxious). Problem: science has not found the solution yet. Why? Too much money invested there in wrong projects.

Hi MemeSpirited,

Unfortunately it's all too common. We need environmentalists and scientist making the rules instead of politicians. But it seems nature is for sale to the highest bidder.

One day all we will have is pictures. And memories.

+1.

Thank you for sharing your experience.

Good in principle. You put in in the trash instead, and if you're in a city on the shore away from landfills, they put it in a garbage scow, take it out and . . . dump it in the ocean :-/

Sometimes other countries will purchase it also. You know... for their own landfills.

It's just a cheaper way to dump it - if the price per tonnage is right.

+1 for your perspective. Humans suck when it comes to protecting our own environment - and the ecosystems that support all life on this planet.

The picture was meant to inspire. Wishful thinking, I'm sorry to say.

Thank you for your comment. I agree.
