Not having a date on Valentine's Day is even worse when you actually have a gf but just can't take her out since you have work all day and church (youth group) in the evening.

I can certainly relate. I travelled for a living, and for 4 Anniversaries in a row, I was somewhere in the world without my wife. And I can't estimate how many years I was gone for Valentine's Day. Nonetheless, we're coming up on 40 years of marriage.

Wow! On the one hand that makes me sad to think of what it must be like to be apart for so many special occasions, but on the other hand I can't help bu congratulate you on sticking through it. Congrats on 40 years!
