I can't say it hasn't been a fun ride, but its time for me to go. I find it harder and harder to stay focused on my memes and comments, with work and family obligations, I have little time to keep up the quality I expect of myself, at the level it needs to be. I've actually come full circle now, as I joined this site as an outlet for my grief of my Fathers death in 2013. Now four years later on the anniversary of that event, and my 50th birthday, I choose to go down a different path.

I thank all of you who have up-voted and commented on my memes over the years, and for allowing me to comment and up-vote on yours as well. Peace be with you.

So your father died on your 46th birthday? Wow. That is rough. I'm so sorry. :-(

He passed on the 12th actually, but those two days will forever be locked together because of it. But, thank you anyway.

Wow, I joined here around 2 weeks after my mom passed as a way to help myself also. I started making Boxer (dog) memes. I also had the same realization about my family and life, I haven't deleted my account, and I don't plan on it. But what I have done is less IMG and comments. I will make the occasional meme and I do come on and do ''upvote sweeps'' I go to profiles and upvote the last week of memes and sometimes comment I did so, so people know I'm still around. Today I did upvotes but not much comments yet. Eah person is different and needs to do what they feel is right, but I hope you take my advice and not delete your account! Its nice to be able to go over an old memebers profile and look at their old memes, plus if you have time here and there it will still be here waiting for you!

Thank you, I tried the break thing, It didn't help. :( I've been around long enough to see the same patterns over again and all I can say is 'there is nothing new under the sun'. The really good memers are be being driven out, because certain elitists don't like completion. Others are being harassed and driven away simply because they have a different opinion. I'm too old for that crap. Its time for me to move out. Sorry.

I guess I'm at a loss, it seemed you were able to pick up right where you left off. Please don't let my decision to leave, influence you. You have always been an excellent memer, while I've floundered in mediocrity, I really have very little to lose by leaving (again), where you have a hard won position in the top 20. If I was where you are, I probably would be leaving.

I've made a few friends here yes, but it's all like we are just sitting in moms basement sometimes! I just don't have the time or energy anymore to keep in the weekly. My job right now is keeping me busy enough...big merger here in Michigan you may have heard of. By new Years I'll likely be top 30! By New Years 2019 the top 100 will all be millionaires.
