Actually I was teasing you, but to be honest, I have seen some hateful stuff from both sides. However, I don't see them doing well on this site. I truly hope I didn't offend you--I love memeing with you :)

No, no. You really can't offend me. ;) I guess what I'm saying is that I know there's a lot of anger and agitation from both sides here, but I just find the lefties a little less likely to 'scream' and perhaps just hang their head and leave. I know from your memeing you're more conservative than me, but I do enjoy memeing on the funny side with you so I tend not to comment to keep things on the level, which I also do with others on imgflip. What I really want to say is that, yes, I'm a 'liberal', but in the world I grew up in and function 'liberal' doesn't mean 'lefty'. Yes, things lean to the left on social matters, etc. but I'm a classic liberal in that I also support free trade, open markets, and globalization, much to the abhorrence of some lefties I debate with. I guess I just figure the classic description of a liberal applies: supporting the autonomy of the individual in all things. Anyway the right-wingers I'm basically calling out with the meme are represented by primarily a particular couple of them, whose names I won't mention for fear of a downvote swarm. I guess I just don't notice angry liberals because I don't usually have issues with them. :)

That's a relief and I try to be respectful of everyone here but steer clear of the more angry/outspoken flippers on both spectrums. It's interesting how you classify yourself because I tell my out-of-state friends and family that I live in a liberal community with conservative family type values--church and hunting come immediately to mind. And you are right about a lot more conservatives are on this site. I'm glad to talk with you and look forward to more:)

Honestly, my experience has been the opposite. The site's RNG could just be weird, but I always seem to find memes where random liberals are name-calling in 5-paragraph long comments. Like I said, my luck could just be weird, but my story is told

It's likely just the approaches we take. I find the conservatives on here are much more vociferous. Make a meme that takes a conservative approach and you're guaranteed 45 to 50 upvotes and at least a sniff of the front page. Those on the left side tend to comment more than make memes. Of course, I'm probably one of those who make 5 paragraph comments though I like to think I'm polite. XD

Just saying

I do notice leftys getting argumentative after baiting by those on the right, but true liberals like myself tend to keep our heads down when the bile flies both ways overhead. I have noticed atheists getting militant when debating, but I think that just represents a similar conservative mindset to the more committed right-wing Christians here. Just saying.
