I carry one of those kubatons, oops, metallic zebra pens too, - but honestly the odds of me actually needing it are somewhere out there in the lottery realm. That atmosphere of misdirection is if we were told the truth just a critical part of the media-generated hype and fear they need to keep us manipulable.
The REAL threat is the false flags and social engineerings that allow our good milis (this is tough to say) to get sent to places they never needed to go. They made plans to invade Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, and Iran just *before* 9/11 and said we just needed the right "catastrophic and catalyzing event – like a new Pearl Harbor." And not surprisingly, there went most of our constitutional rights - including the tranquility of the 2A - with it.
Someday there will be a reckoning.
