Kim Jong Un Sad

BlueNinja1 suggested that Trump was using Kim Jong-Un to distract the country's attention from his treasonous way of getting in power toward focusing on North Korea (never mind that the provocations started from Kim). I said that whatever investigations are ongoing into that wouldn't be affected by any war games with North Korea, in the same way that the Watergate investigation wasn't slowed down by the fact that the country was already at war. So explain to me again how the Vietnam War starting in 1954 has any relevance to what I said. Are you seriously trying to suggest that because it had already been going on for a long time that it wasn't really the focus of the country's attention in the way that these war games with Kim are?

I'm seriously saying that you are lobbing whatever bullcrap you can to salvage your bogus argument.

Trump used RECENT developments in N Korea as a distraction.

Nixon could not do that with the Viet Nam War because it was not a recent, but rather years old ONGOING crisis. In fact, a big reason he was elected was his promise to end it, which he did not. Said War had much to do with spurring the Hippie Movement and with our economy in decline, souring the general mood. This helped aggravate the various Civil Rights going on with various groups as well. It was the first war with footage broadcasted on the news. It was a constant backdrop. Kinda like Afgan and Iraq and ME situations, only a way wAY WAY louder constant hum. So there was no way it was a sudden development concerns over which could be amplified as a distraction.

On top of that, let's not forget his weird threat to Venezuela, which not only furthers how deep his desperation for distraction but also how mentally insane and totally moronic he is.
