I actually hate when other people put it MM/DD/YYYY or in other formats, sometimes you figure it out, sometimes you can't because the day holds for less than 12.

I don't even write dates like that either. It was pretty simple to put it in the text bubble. I use a dash in between the days, months and years. Previously when I was using a slash, many dates in January and November looked f@cked up.
I'm American and on my driver's license the expiration date and my birthday are listed month, day, then year. Seems the correct way to me, but it's all I've known.
