There are more trees in North America NOW than when Columbus landed. For one thing, no one controlled forest fires back then and no one was planting trees by the billion, as paper companies, lumber companies and others are doing today. Forests are a crop, albeit a slower growing crop.
Of course, all that does nothing to help the emotional high some libtard gets yelling about something they don't understand, like commercial forestry and the industry of genetically modifying trees so they grow faster, replacing forests used for consumption.
