Good Morning Mr.Evil! :) Heck I'm up around two every morning! Figure at my age better get every moment! Gosh, I need to go to Church, been a minute since I've been! Use to never miss a Sunday! Rattlesnake for the sermon! More like Dinner lol :)

My old plumbing boss belonged to a "Church of God" , where they talk in tounges. (That was a new experience for little ole Jewish me! Lol). Anyway we put a new roof on the church, new plumbing, a/c, etc...my boss said he's going to take a break from it because it was getting too expensive to go! Lol. :)

I'm a free will Baptist, Yeah always something the Church needs! I've only seen such sermons on TV. Rattlesnake is pretty good, Had some in Texas years back!

Years ago when my brother and I hiked the Appalachian Trial, on the way back from being picked up at Fontana Dam, we stopped at this little, and I mean little church on the side of the road. The pastor invited us in and it turned out to be a serpent handling church, I believe they're Pentecostal? Very nice guy, we had fun talking with him and of course he broke out a rattle snake showed us how it's done! His flock had diminished greatly through the years, there were only 8-10 members left. I got to hold the rattler, at the time back at my house , I had a 14 foot Burmese Python, so a little rattle snake was nothing! Lol. :)

That's Awesome Evil both Hiking the trail, and stopping at the Church! My grandma was Pentecostal, and although they didn't handle snakes in got pretty wild up in the Church! lol. Yeah, snakes don't bother me I catch them all the time, and never harm them unless it's a poison one close to the house! I try to kill nothing I can't eat!

They love the fire and brimstone! Is a Free Will Baptist similar to the "Primitive" Baptists? I've seem that term "Primitive" Baptist on a few churches, mostly out in the country. Baptist is a huge branch of Christianity (obviously) and there's as many small sects and there is sand on the beach. Lol :)

No, They are two different denominations, But I would think perhaps some similarities.Free Will Baptist is a denomination and group of people that believe in free grace, , free salvation and free will. Primitive Baptists – also known as Hard Shell Baptists or Old School Baptists – are conservative Baptists adhering to a degree of Calvinist beliefs that coalesced out of the controversy among Baptists in the early 1800s over the appropriateness of mission boards, tract societies, and temperance societies. Yes, Baptists is and large Denomination. It funny here you'll have Church after Church crammed Into a few mile area, and only 30 or 40 people going to each Church! And in most cases all sit and talk about the others lol :)

Oh, the Stalinist (OK, maybe too harsh, but I can't stand anyone that has to keep breaking out the Rule Book on you! Lol) of the Baptist branch. Yea, Free Will sounds pretty cool to me..lol. ;)

Yeah, I can't stand the people who have a holier than though attitude! One reason I stopped going so much the Preacher was always picking someone in the Church for his sermons lol. And I'm the type to tell them quickly to look in the Mirror before you Judge me. I was the store one day and bought me a pack of beer, and my daughter was with me, I noticed her looking behind us at someone, I turned around and another church member was standing there looking down his nose at me. I'm to hell with you man Jesus didn't say anything about a little Drink of beer, he said drunkenness..And what got me is he was standing in line to buy cigarettes, hell my sin worse than yours lol.. But I believe a man live by the 10 commandments, and once you're saved and believe nothing can snatch you from the hands of God. None of us are Perfect, only one ever walked this earth that was. :)
