Locking your door at night means you want to protect yourself from a burglary. Similarly, Trump wants to protect our country from terrorists that want to destroy our country by locking the borders. The people who protest it don't want us to be seen as being white supremacist by limiting foreign relations.

No, that's not what they're implying. They said that it's the same concept, not a cause-effect relationship. We lock our doors, and similarly, we tighten our borders. People should have the same rights, but they need to come here legally, and we also need to make sure that they won't blow stuff up.

The locks on my doors are indeed a form of discrimination, because I will give keys to a very few people who I know I can trust. I don't give the keys to my home to just anyone, because not everyone can be trusted. Trust must be earned, it isn't automatic. We lock our borders for the same reason -- to make sure that the people who come in can be trusted not to abuse our benefits or our people. If you want to be mad at someone, be mad at the tiny percentage of immigrants who are criminals and terrorists, for it is these who make it necessary to keep the vast majority of good people waiting until we can check them out.

I am angry at the immigrants that are criminals, but I also can be mad at Trump for handling it so poorly. He has a good plan to keep bad people out of the US, it's just that the plan isn't very clear and so far has been executed poorly.
