You don't need a club to be successful in America, but you've got to assimilate to one degree or another!

True, moving here and expecting everything and everyone to be like they were in your old country doesn't make much sense to me. I mean why move here then? They keep comparing today's situation to immigrants that came over when the country was brand new and half of it hadn't even been mapped yet. Yeah our country was founded by people that wanted to escape religious persecution, does that mean we should allow thousands of people to immigrate at once whose religion tells them to hate and kill us? If that isn't important to them then why are they unwilling to change their ways to better fit in even the slightest bit? It's a very complicated situation but I personally believe we need to take care of the people already in this country that live like refugees long before we worry about people who want to come here and force us to change how we live in order to make them what, feel like they never left??

I heard that recently somewhere but I can't remember where, some news program was talking about it though. We also put a bunch of Japanese people into camps after pearl harbor was bombed. That's a topic nobody wants to talk about.

Now I'm not the type to think that judging all based on the actions of some in any situation is a good thing. And it's not like I don't feel sorry for the child refugees whose homes were destroyed. I just wonder how many homeless and or out of work people do we have to have in this country. Before people start thinking maybe closing our borders and stopping the billions of dollars we send all over the world might be a good idea. Lets get to a point where we can take care of all the people already here and maybe then think about opening things up again. Why is that such a horrible idea to some people? I see a news report one day about how badly social security that everybody pays into is hurting our poor government, then I hear how Obama sent 3 times as much money as social security costs in a year to Iran! Nothing makes sense anymore and all some people seem to care about is making sure nobody on the entire planet ends up butthurt geesh!

White privilege is the advantage of not having to deal with life's problems from underneath the yoke of the socially (and thereby artificially) contrived problems associated with racism, which are not lightweight in any way. When you have white privilege you still have problems, such as the ability to become homeless, just without the added burden of racism, which is quite the advantage

Yes, although this meme is anecdotal, the statistics are a quick google search away.
There are more homeless white people than any other race in the US. Although it is not proportional, it is even less proportional with Asian Americans. Where is your Asian privilege? Perhaps high black homelessness rates are a result of high single motherhood rates, not the fault of whites.
