What I don't understand about people is why they're getting mad that Donald Trump is the president if they voted for him. And I bet that people who didn't vote for Hillary Clinton are mad because she lost. I honestly don't like Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton as president. So I didn't vote. I don't vote anyway, politics really don't interest me. But why start complaining if you who voted for won?

I think many who voted for him are seeing that he's less than interested in keeping many of his core statements... or he's now "adjusting" what he meant by many of them.

Too true. He went from 'prosecute Hillary' to 'I respect Hillary' in less than a month.

If he wants to unite the country, he has to make peace. Since Hillary won the popular vote, than most people in our country support her, and a fair share aren't too happy. He has to try and unite them somehow.

But then again, if you think about it, what president makes promises that he keeps? Every president promises this and that about this and that and then breaks the promises AFTER becoming president. You would think that people would start being mindful about believing everything the president, or soon to be president says.

Fair point. I think that campaigning, they believe what they are saying is possible, but once they get in they realize that there is more resistance than they expected. In the end they do what they can and pick their battles. This is an idealistic view, and probably not true... but it's nice to believe that they at least ran thinking they could do everything.
