Actually, the last man on the moon Gene Cernan wrote his daughters initials on the moon TDC, hence the C that you see in photos. There is also a famous painting/photo where they added the TDC because Mr. Cernan said he always wished he would have carved it in the rock instead of writing it in the moon's dust.
