Korea will keep this system for as long as Kim’s blood line reigns. Some people's democracy, huh? If you are ever in S. Korea, talking about two Koreas could trigger hyper-patriotic nut job to give you a knife in the neck.

I know the Japanese do that, for example, the way in which the Japanese assigned names and models to their firearms (specifically WW2) there model #'s were the year of the Emporer's reign. :)

Excellent question thejamesasher, you see the word weird is subjective between you or someone else living across the other side of the planet. It's base on what that person considers normal, like this photo of example. However, I can certainly say that someone will think this is weird. Hope that explains the contexts! ;D
