But ketchup are mostly made up of apples, if I'm not horribly mistaken..

Tomatoes aren’t fruit. Not by casual terms at least. People got angry about the whole it’s a fruit thing so they took it to court and the Supreme Court eventually ended out declaring it a vegetable

To be a fruit a plant has to be developed in the ovaries of the plant and contain the plants seeds (which tomatoes do). Also tomatoes have 3.2 grams of sugar
