Last August someone made a meme with a picture of Sean Connery sipping a drink, claiming "This meme is better than Kermit's."

Since then some users have been keeping alive a bitter feud between Kermit and Sean Connery on imgflip. Hope that helps explain it a little bit. :)

Re: bitter or fun, I don't know how to measure that. I think it's been mostly just fun for the users, but as for Kermit and Connery, they have displayed a variety of attitudes through the war. Sometimes things have been very bitter (Kermit "died" a few times), but sometimes they almost seem friendly about it.
