My daughter's do this at family gatherings. Still have some dishes to wash, but not as many.

I had one plate, small servings (for me ????) and a piece of cake that I baked. Daughter kept out the giblets for me to take home because she never learned what go do with them. The kids never had them when they were at home cause those were "Daddy's treats".

I'm thankful my family doesn't have to do the dishes this year, but there's an opportunity cost.
