Thanks I didn't mean to be away so long, just had more stuff to deal with than I had time for, hopefully the worst of it is over now.

I usually feel disappointed to find out someone has an alt account (clinkster is probably an exception).

My main concern is that people might use them to downvote and flag a lot of comments by a user they're having a fight with, which downgrades the other user's comment reputation and can temporarily stop them from being able to participate in the site.

I'm amazed at how some just don't think we know. I'll be on a comment thread with certain users, they make a comment you reply and every comment of there's in the thread will be 4 upvote and yours and the rest of the people will be at 1. Or they have super follow fans!

It's frustrating because there's not much you can do about it. If you make alts and start upvoting your own comments that would make you just as bad. You can point out the discrepancy so other people can see what they're doing, but there isn't really a way to stop it that I know of.
