we had a world cup (soccer) qualifying game here on Friday, which was Armistice Day when we remember the fallen from WW1 by wearing poppies, but FIFA (the soccer bosses) wanted the players banned from wearing them!! they wore them anyway tho' :-D
i'm probably just being cynical but can't help but wonder if the recent FIFA cash scandals, where the big chiefs were caught taking bribes from places like Qatar, had anything to do with their decision :-/

I call my brother twice a year, on his birthday, and on Veterans Day. Though on everyday he is my better, on the day I make that second call I am truly humbled. Semper Fi brother, and to all of America's Veterans, thank you for your service.
