I liked that one also, plus of course Bullet, and I even liked the scene in the Rock with Sean Connery. You can't forget the Dukes either, even though they wrecked so many chargers making that show, I believe it was over 100 of them :(
This was my all time fave, " The Car" , not so much a chase movie but a killer car movie before Christine, I even met George Barris a couple of times and invited me to California, he liked my work and he's one of my heroes. He also really really liked my girlfriend at the time.
It's an older campy movie about a sociopathic car, no owner or driver, just possesed by the devil. I have a small collection of dye cast movie cars, includes Bullet, Eleanor, General Lee, The Car, Fast Times, Starsky n Hutch etc. They're hard to find sometimes and getting friggin expensive.
That's cool, I managed the dept at a grocery store that was in charge of hot wheel displays. I had customers that would call and ask to go through the shipper before I put them on the sales floor. I learned which type of cars they were after so before long I'd go through them first lol. I have quite a few of the "treasure hunters" that are now worth a lot more than the buck I paid for them but nothing as cool as what your collection sounds like ;)
I know some collectors that have over 1500 plus in their collection, but mine are worthless cuz I took em all out of their boxes, I'm still a kid at heart and like to play ha ha.
If I still had the Star Wars toys I had as a kid I'd be rich, but of course I took all of them out of the box and played with them all the time. So they're either gone or in rough shape. But no money is worth the hours of fun I had with them as a kid.
The Italian Job (1969) "$4 million dollars through a traffic jam" Basically they swap the tape for the traffic lights in Turin causing traffic chaos, rob a security van, put gold bars into 3 minis and then escape. It also has the best cliffhanger ending of all time. The chase (or parts of it) were used in an episode of "MacGyver" so you may have seen it :)
I just watched it again a week or 2 ago. I was looking snickering at all the low budget stuff until the car chase reminded me of where all the money went.
