I've had 2 go back in the last week, and they were basic memes not even something political just stupid funny memes. :-(

Lol I guess if I didn't have a job and a family and could just sit on my butt all day watching every hour as the latest memes posted I would be bored too. Ridiculous, I guess someone wants points so bad they are trying to be sure others memes don't get seen.

I actually started downvoting one person's memes. The user is "mypantysmile." They keep posting meme "ads" to call a certain number for a person named Jeffrey. The number is from my neck o' the woods. I actually checked it out and looked up this Jeffrey person because I thought what if this was from highschool kids pulling a mean prank on some poor kid. Well, to make a long story short, I wished I could have washed my eyes out with bleach after doing a google search. I am tired of seeing his memes. LOL! Sorry to bore you with this. :)

I downvote and flag all those (for "Abuse").

That's exactly right, but if I make something that isn't good to someone they can keep scrolling without downvoting. The title is saying I am not sure why someone would be pissed off enough at me to downvote my stuff with numerous alt accounts. It has nothing to do with the quality of my memes. BTW most of memes are good :-) LOL or at least I think so!

It seems like even if you have a quality meme, sometimes some users get so jealous or vindictive that they decide to revert to their 5-year-old problem-solving techniques and downvote everything you create, regardless of whether or not they found it funny, just to make themselves feel better about their own lack of creativity. I'm lucky that I haven't been targeted. I don't make the funniest memes, but that's okay, because it's still fun and sometimes I get to enjoy hilarious conversations with other users. I only downvote the truly offensive memes, like ones that are purposefully made just to piss people off. I saw one recently that was a grumpy cat meme about the user wishing he was a racist cop and this other person was black so he could beat them silly. That deserved a downvote, there's nothing funny about that. But I think there are enough good users here that together we can help counteract this and fight against the injustice by supporting one another.

I think that is exactly what happens. I just don't see the sense in downvoting unless like you said the meme is completely offensive to the human race. I have really enjoyed imgflip. I don't have the amount of time to spend on here that I did 3 months ago, but I still try to submit my memes and go through and give upvotes where they are deserved, and comments on memes I like. I also try to comment on any meme I like, not just memes from users I interact with daily. I learned that from Socrates. He was quick to help me out when I started in January, and I have seen him make countless people feel welcome and encouraged. I LOVE YOUR USERNAME BY THE WAY!!!!

I agree, we all need help when we start. I remember socrates helping me out by commenting on some of my memes. I like reading the variety of memes that come from this community, they come up with things I would never think of! Truly creative group here. It's too bad we have the occasional troll problem, but they never seem to last long when they try to single someone out. Wouldn't it be nice if people could respect someone else's opinion and disagree calmly without insulting or downvoting the other? Down with the trolls! Thank you!

I was tempted to comment on that meme and tell him he was already partially there, all he needed to do now was become a cop. But I didn't want my comment to reward him with points. And he was probably waiting for someone to get offended and start a comment war, and I don't have time for that.

I made a meme about Trump that has gotten about 30 upvotes, and I didn't see it get any higher than page 5! Usually you can make it to page 2 with around 20 upvotes so someone is definitely downvoting it, probably with multiple accounts. Pretty sad. Lol
