LOL. The only way today's digital noise will ever be classic is when it's deemed as such by the RIAA in 10 years or so!

On our cable box ( Comcast ) there are a bunch of music channels. I put on the Solid Gold Oldies and it's commercial free, back to back hits from the 50's and the 60's. While a song is playing, there's usually a pic's of the band along with facts and trivia about them. Good stuff !

Started college in September of '83. Spun records for the radio station there for a couple years. I think I have a Naked Eyes vinyl stashed away somewhere still.

Playing heavy Japanese psych right now - Fushitsusha - which is as old-ly classic as I'm going to get today. :)

Keiji Haino is the head dude with Fushitsusha and about 2 dozen other groups, with about 50 or 60 releases between them. Imagine '60s/'70s flower children psychedelic, only with an odd Japanese man playing weird-but-mean twisted blues-based guitar leads and bellowing like a hermit trying to get the kids off his land. And it turning out 180 degrees from flower-power.
