I wonder if this same 25 year old knows how much slavery already was going on in Africa before the European and Arab slave trade systems came in. Or how much some African kings played a role in capturing and selling their own people into slavery. Perhaps the descendants of the African kings should be forking over the money.

Certainly, but that's not my point. My point is if a black person wants to pin slavery on "whitey" and have white people pay him restitution for it, then the person is neglecting a lot of history that shows whitey wasn't the only one carrying these disgusting acts out. Said person should also acknowledge that others were involved, not just whitey.

How do you think the Egyptian monuments were built, or the cities in ancient Rome and Greece? Surely not by the blood, sweat and tears of any Nobles.

What I meant was most white people in America are descendants of immigrants who came here from differnet parts of Europe penniless around 1860-1900. They never owned slaves. But African-americans all have at least some white ancestry (probably from a slave owner who had children outside of marriage with a black slave).
