Is it bad to repost if it's your own?

[image deleted]Never bad to repost. Never bad too repost your own work, but it seems the opinions vary. Not too long ago I reposted some of my submissions in a comment section and some dick snuck in a remark about my intelligence. Oh, here's another.

In my humble (but accurate) opinion, resubmitting is different from reposting.

Reposting is the little brother of plagiarism. It's sort of trying to imply that the reposter came up with the idea for the meme, when someone else, in fact, did. Or, at least, came up with it first (which is why I Google a lot of my memes, since I'm surprised on some that nobody else had thought of them).

Resubmitting is vastly different. Since you are the originator of the meme, there's no false credit-taking involved.

Just my two (thought it would be funny to Google the "lowest currency in the world" and put that in place of cents, but...NAH!).

If you don't agree with reposting memes, then you don't truly understand the purpose of meming.

I think you mean "sharing", rather than "reposting". Reposting, to me, means taking credit for someone else's meme, whether outright, or implied by not stating that it IS a repost. Sharing usually involves giving credit to the originator of the meme.
