Exactly. That's what happened in Ferguson and Baltimore, no one waited for evidence.

A cop"s job is "protect and serve" and to apprehend suspects. . . that is all. The woman got pulled over for a traffic violation. She should have gotten a ticket and drove away.

Police radio calls say the cop said he matched the description of a wanted criminal prior to pulling them over. He didn't follow orders to "not move" after the cop saw the gun on his lap, instead making a movement toward the gun. The GF can say all day long that "he was reaching for his driver's license sir and you shot him" but a cop isn't required to let himself get shot/killed by someone he thinks may be a wanted criminal with a gun on his lap.

The rest of the story is still coming out. And emotional responses (just like EVERY other case) will get the facts wrong again (hands up don't shoot never happened...100% made up story) and unthinking segments of black society will continue to claim that cops are "hunting down" black men.

How many bullets are your going to require to be fired at an officer before they are allowed to respond with force of any kind? Do you think it is really wise to tell an officer that you have a gun WHILE reaching behind you for something? Don't you think that is something you should say before you start reaching for your wallet? Since the woman was driving, don't you think something else was going on for the officer to even need to ask the man for his license? A simple broken tail light doesn't require a license check of everyone in the vehicle. And just because the guy worked at a school doesn't mean he isn't capable of committing any crimes, in fact there are some teachers that have been caught being child molesters. I am not saying that the cops were right to do what they did, because I don't have all the information to know exactly what took place. I will say this though, a cop's job is to protect and serve, but that also means to protect themselves and each other. If the officer suspected that the guy was reaching for a guy (that the guy said was on him), if that was you wouldn't you want to protect yourself as well. 4 shots were excessive, so there could have been something wrong with the officer, but once again we don't have the whole story.

It is true that, regardless of right to carry, you should let the officer know or keep the gun where he can see it. Like on the dash, clip out. I matched the description of an armed robbery suspect once too. And almost got shot. But how you act goes a long way. If you ever get stopped for no reason, the best bet is assume you look like someone that just committed an armed robbery. And you will probably not get shot.

Some states, like Oklahoma, you are required by law to tell an officer if you have a CCL, regardless of whether or not you are carrying, before you give them your license. There are also states that state a gun is required to be unloaded while in a moving vehicle.

It might be best to just assume you did do something wrong, instead of claiming you got stopped for no reason, and just comply with the officer. And if you are carrying, make it clear first before making any sudden movement.

The man was driving first of all. Secondly we was wanted for armed robbery. Thirdly, instead of applying pressure to the wound, possibly preserving his life, she decided to film his death. but yes he's was wanted for armed robbery. If I have to spell it out any further to someone who obviously doesn't know a thing...get a brain retard!

If we're talking about the same incident, she was driving and he was in a seat belt, had no record, and worked at the local school.

I was being sarcastic of course. He was the driver but I never read he was wanted for anything. I read he was instructed to keep his hands visible after telling the officer he had a concealed weapon. He continued to reach for his id as previously instructed rather than hold still until the officer could remove the weapon. All concealed carrier persons should know proper protocol when dealing with police officers. First identity yourself as a legally licensed gun owner, keep your hands raised and TELL the officer where on your person or in the area your weapon is located, wait for the officer to remove the weapon, then comply with all other instructions. Since he didn't follow this agenda he continued to reach for his wallet the officer shot him in the arm multiple times.

Then why do liberals act as judge, jury, and confiscators to all law-abiding gun owners?

I was pulled over @ 4:50 am on way to gym. My wallet was in the gym bag, back seat. I asked the officer for instructions on how to safely retrieve the wallet, both hands on the door. He says, "Why are yours hands hanging out the door?" I reply, "Because it's dark and I want you to see my hands at all times." He says, dude, you watch too much tv. Just get your wallet.
