THIS IS A PICTURE OF AN EXPLOSION SHOW ME A PICTURE OF GOD AND I MIGHT THINK YOU'VE GOT A POINT | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
What, you can't? Wonder why...

It wasn't an explosion, it was the expansion of space-time. There was nothing there that was explosive, due to there were no elements present at the time. Just saying........

No I won't. I've shown you the explosion, now you have to show me the picture of god.

Then I'll show you the picture of the explosion that triggers complex cellular development and you'll show me the picture of God creating complex celular development out of literally nothing.

But for now, it's still your turn. Don't go shifting the goal post now.

You've already seen a picture of God.

"Then God said, 'Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.'" Genesis 1:26

When you look in the mirror, you're looking at the image of God. Whereas your explosion above is terrestrial and cannot be causal to the universe.

No seriously, google 'explosion that triggers complex cellular development' and you'll find exactly this picture as well as an explanation.

And if you don't find it - just have faith that it is somewhere out there and believe me regardless.

Ultimately I respect your view. We're all here to have fun with memes, and I hope you know I've not lost sight of that. As an expression of good faith I'll check out yours and get you some upvotes.

I respect yours too; It was just the strawman here that kind of pissed me off. Of course I don't believe that "it was an explosion".

And I'll happily show you the same consideration.

You've got some good memes as well. Love how you're keeping it real sometimes.^^

You've got nice memes. I had already upvoted several. Rick & Carl was my favorite.

No I don't. You know what's even less likely to happen? That magic's gonna do it. It seriously does my head in. You people really, truly believe in a magical all powerful creature that just made everything? I mean, seriously? I can't conceive of a person actually believing that mumpitz.

Planets aren't really Bubbles that popped out of stars - rather, matter was ejected out of stars and slowly, over millions nd billions of years gathered together to form different heavenly bodies.
Micro organisms are already life. What we don't know is how they originated. But you're right, they're the first ifeforms all other evolved from.
But hte story of the creation of man doesn't correlate with the theory of evolution. Once you accept the existence of these first lifeforms, god simply isn't needed anymore; Man simply evolved on his own.
And i don't quite know how you think that god didn't create all other life on earth. In genesis, he clearly creates all life on earth one after the other over the a span of four days.
And the seperation of light from dark: That's a bit far fetched, don't you think? I mean it's not like dark matter is actually "dark". Nor is matter actually "light". So we would have the same metaphor independently chosen in two entirely different contexts, while no one in thousands of years ever really had a chance of getting it.

Why do you think we have white, black, asian, native american, latino and all other different kinds of people? What do you think would happen if we didn't interact at all for another couple million years?
0 ups, 9y,

Because we had several different independent types of hominids on earth that were close enough to breed like the "early homonids" from Africa and the Neanderthals in Europe. They bred and became new types of humans. This is proven by DNA analysis. It was not evolved adaption. That theory has never been proven by DNA analysis. It never will be, because aside from rare mutation, DNA does not allow for that.
0 ups, 9y,

Actually, genetic recombination and pre-adaptation are more common than mutation. And they're also the driving forces of evolution.
Also, where would those early hominids have come from? I mean your point is surely that the Adam and Eve story is correct.
But if that's the case, then how come there are different races now even though Adam and Eve were originally the same?

Did Eve just suddenly give birth to a black baby and Adam went:
"Ok. Eve... I'm probably the only person in history that's gonna believe what you're about to tell me."
0 ups, 9y
There are several "Adam and Eve" stories on earth. Not only what is in the Christian bible. We are so overwhelmingly conditioned to believe the last 5,000 years worth of history. And "science." Most of which is simply made up. DNA does not permit for an animal to evolve to grow a giraffe neck or to somehow immediately adapt to life in a cave with no light. That is literally impossible. If an animal that would die stuck in a cave with no light--it died. It didn't wind up trapped in a slowly darkening cave that evolved into a dark pocket in the rocks. That is not at all supported by any science. It was made up by people that had no real science and was accepted by kings and dictators, which is why it is still accepted today. Nothing has ever been observed evolving, except dogs, which we now know have unique DNA that permits this. All other study animals must be genetically engineered to do that.

The question is what came before the 'explosion'? Billions of potential past universes? It may have been expansion-collapse-expansion-et al. It would have nothing to do with chance. Believing in 'intelligent creation' doesn't cut it because that's merely limiting your conception to what you've experienced. And you know what? That's coming from someone who isn't officially an atheist.I just have the ability to think beyond myself.
1 up, 9y,

I like how people have to create biollions of potential past/alternate universes that can't be proven just to disprove one God.
2 ups, 9y,
1 reply
Yeah. Because we're all intelligent designers. Anyway, I believe in science because it allows me to discover things and is provable and knowable. There is scientific proof for the theories behind the big bang but none for an omnipresent deity. Scientists don't have to invent billions of possibilities, they SEARCH for and THEORIZE about them using the knowable, and eventually discover PROOFS. That's the scientific method.

Just because I'm a Christian doesn't mean I don't believe in science... I'm in agreement with everything you wrote besides the last sentence. There is evidence for God; all you have to do is search the internet. Whereas there's no possible way to 'search for', as you say in your own words, for different universes. All anyone can do is theorize.
2 ups, 9y,

The internet is full of opinion. Opinion isn't the scientific method. I'm fine with your Christianity. I grew up in the church and still admire much of Jesus' teachings. I just came to the conclusion that science had more to teach me. I know many Christians who hew to the faith but believe in a universe spanning millions of years and scientifically provable. You can learn from Christ and apply it to your own life without denying all that isn't exactly as it is written in the bible.
0 ups, 9y
But I'm not denying all that isn't exactly as it is written in the bible :(

God is the first cause. Obviously, it took an intelligent designer and creator to design and create the complex world we live in... I would never look at a modern building and think... "how many billions of years combined with random chance for all the right components for this structure to come into being. I would know that someone created it. I would know that it was designed with purpose.

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Isaiah 43:10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
2 ups, 9y
You believe in intelligent design because as a human you only understand your human reality, therefore you accept a human-like deity in order to grasp it. Quoting the Bible doesn't prove the concept. Jewish oral tradition encapsulated into the Old Testament was how the Hebrews sought to understand their reality. There is no 'obviously' here, nor to most people, including many Christians I have known.

Who created God? Christians want t say it's impossible that a big bang juts randomly happened and created the Universe because you can't make something out of nothing? Then wgere did God from> He's something, so he must have been created.

I personally believe the world was created too long ago for us humans to care about its making, and will end far, far, after we do. How the universe came to be should not concern us, and afterlife should not concern us. You are alive. LIVE. (and don't act like a jerk.)
2 ups, 9y
That's laughable it's so absurd.Even God admits there are other Gods. Genesis 1:26, Genesis 3:22, Genesis 11:7. Deuteronomy 10:17, Psalm 97:7, Psalm 86:8. etc etc.
