That's how it should be. I love my Dad too, but it took a lot of effort to forgive and forget. Some people can't do it and I understand. I realized that if I held onto the anger that it would eat me up inside and that would be my down fall.

My old man made childhood terrible for my siblings and I. After many years of hatred, addictions and many personal mistakes, as a husband and father I've learned from his mistakes and mine and have the best relationship with him now than I ever have. I stopped blaming others for my problems and don't vote liberal anymore. Lol. Good for you for turning out right
