That's almost a palindrome...

The T is in the middle of it, so the whole phrase together is a palindrome. It's just confusing because of how the captions are far apart.

For it to be a true palindrome, you would have to put a T in front of the word safe...that's what I'm talking about.

A true palindrome is just a word or phrase that reads the same backwards as forwards. If you read it backwards you'll see it works.

That's not a palindrome either...Campus motto doesn't have a B in it. A palindrome must read the same forward and backward...you can't eliminate or add letters.

"Campus motto: Bottoms up, Mac!" has the same letters backwards and forwards.

That is a correct palindrome.

But he's right that it looks off. I think it's because of the space between the captions, which makes it seem like there are 2 phrases that have to mirror each other, instead of 1 long phrase.

I figured that was where the rub was.

Now I'm feeling dumb for writing all these comments about it though. It doesn't really matter that much.

That's what it was too...since it was split up, it just didn't look right, but you are correct...

If you want me to delete some of my comments here, just let me know. I don't think most people would really care that much about what a palindrome is and isn't. :)

The B is the middle letter.

Palindromes that have an odd number of letters will have a middle letter. Palindromes with an even number of letters won't.
