That's not a palindrome either...Campus motto doesn't have a B in it. A palindrome must read the same forward and backward...you can't eliminate or add letters.

"Campus motto: Bottoms up, Mac!" has the same letters backwards and forwards.

That is a correct palindrome.

But he's right that it looks off. I think it's because of the space between the captions, which makes it seem like there are 2 phrases that have to mirror each other, instead of 1 long phrase.

That's what it was too...since it was split up, it just didn't look right, but you are correct...

The B is the middle letter.

Palindromes that have an odd number of letters will have a middle letter. Palindromes with an even number of letters won't.

The T is in the middle of it, so the whole phrase together is a palindrome. It's just confusing because of how the captions are far apart.

For it to be a true palindrome, you would have to put a T in front of the word safe...that's what I'm talking about.

A true palindrome is just a word or phrase that reads the same backwards as forwards. If you read it backwards you'll see it works.
