If the kids today put as much effort into learning an instrument as they do playing "rock band" on video games, we might have had hope.

Lemme jus' point this out: a generation will always hate the music of the next generation. The parents of the Rock 'n' Roll generation hate rock. The rock gen hates rap/pop/trap. The r/p/t gen will hate whatever music their kids listen to. That's life.

Every decade has good music, you just have to search harder to find it. The 70's was the last time that good music was popular IMHO.

80's wasn't bad, good solid rock there, 90's grunge was desent and still a good share of quality rock. We started losing it when they allowed nicklesuck to live and then went to shit from there. Look at Metallica, boy did those guys go down hill. But the 70's was the golden age. My first concert Supertramp '79 Crime of the Century.

My first concert was around the same time. Unfortunately it was The Bay City Rollers. Looking back, that was the crime of the century.
