Well it's the only thing we can do to let off the stress of homework and other random crap that gets shoved at us in school. And since we have little time to do whatever we want, we'd rather spend it relaxing and letting off stress, rather than adding it.
Unless it's summer vacation, then we have no excuse, and that's when it's considered selfish and lazy.

I don't think I could ever agree on anything more ever in my life

Even worse is the mindless following of rules, some of which are quite contrary to a native state of being. School seems more about training you to follow directions, than education providing a rich and useful education. That said I have witnessed some people really use their education to their advantage.

Coz at work we all do what we like......

school is training you to work. exactly. training you to do what you don't like or want for the vast majority of your life. Your whole life lived for the happiness and enjoyment of others.

I earn my money to spend doing what I like. I am fortunate enough to get some job satisfaction too. I wouldn't say I live my life for the happiness and enjoyment of others - don't only parents do that? ;)

Good luck getting a job you love and love every single aspect of. School is mostly cr*p for millions of school children, life is mostly cr*p for millions of people. School prepares you for life because you have to spend so much time doing stuff you don't want to do in both.

I believe some school is essential the basics of stuff but when you have to take things you probably won't ever use because they are geared towards a certain career that you have no interest in pursuing I believe that is a waste of time
