Yeah this is fine for me.

I still feel like there's alt using trolls stifling my memes. And I think my humor is similar to a bunch of popular user's humor, it's just that they see my name attached and skip it or downvote it.

I hate that the troll attacks had the effect they had on my account and not theirs. But that's probably because of how many alts they are using.

Maybe the site will do something about it eventually and if I stick with it long enough, the douchebags will be gone. :{

Yeah, that probably didn't make a lot of sense for me to say that about how your humor is somewhat offbeat (ie, it's not really related to the topic of how trolls might be affecting how your memes do). A lot of different kinds of memes make it to the front page. I think that was more just giving you a personal reflection.

No, I haven't talked to RS yet at all. I think I'm going to try though at some point. I haven't noticed any other memes against me and he's still making political memes that are in the same vein as mine. So I got that going for me...which is nice.

Well, I tried commenting on his Jyn vs Rey meme. He's being a bitch about it though.

So I told him I'd delete the comment if he wanted. Which he'll probably say he does.

But I did point out that he did exactly what he said I did on my stream.

And he tried to talk shit about Princess Leia and I almost left this meme comment:

Sith's comments were really messed up. Xenusian Soldier is also an adult who doesn't need Sith defending him, so we know that's not what it really is.

It's clear that Sith is mad cause you're #2 and you mock his beloved female characters for being bland.

Sith is really into the whole Pizzagate thing, and that's why I keep hoping something will pop up that ties Disney into that. Disney has conspiracies surrounding it already about pedophilia, but the PG one would really help to get Sith to see the error in the new SW fan fics being made by Disney.

Not that I want these suspected pedophiles to have that many victims or power though. I really want them punished if it's all true.

So maybe on the DKSW stream, we can try and make memes that are pointing out Disney's bad side? :{O

The comment rep thing helps with spam too, so I can see how it was useful, but man, the way they kept hitting me with it was annoying.

And I commented a couple times with Sith last night on one of his memes and we were fairly cordial to each other. I gave him some ideas for his action figure display and even gave him a light jab about the misogyny thing. He didn't say anything negative so maybe he's going to let bygones be bygones with me.

And you know about me and Memester, but I also had Skippopotamus comment in a more friendly way. So maybe Imgflip is going to be slightly more peaceful for the next few days? lol

I'd like to see if the other user(the one you gave the link to with the anti disney meme) will start coming to the stream. It'd be neat to have more ideas flowing through it. :{D

That's good to hear about peace between you, MM, RS, and even Skippopotamus, even if it's only temporary. Nobody likes discord (at least, not normal users).

RS has been pretty uncivil to me lately though. He left some rude comments on a meme of mine, apparently because he didn't like a comment I wrote to XenusianSoldier, and because he didn't like the way I spoke to MemesterMemesterson. Also, I commented on a meme of his (RS) to show I agreed with it, which he didn't upvote or respond to. I sent him a message in private, which he didn't upvote or respond to. I guess the last two don't matter - if he doesn't like me as a user that's his business, and he doesn't have to upvote or respond to my comments. That's up to him. But the rude comments on my meme were pretty annoying.

I saw the memes and comments. I think memester is trying to talk to him about it.

Hopefully with the holidays, he'll chill out and we'll all get a few weeks without and bullshit if we're lucky.

But for what it's worth, I think it's right what you told him, that that isn't a good reason for him to leave the site.

I think he should just move on and say "oh well, socrates is a dick" and just continue to enjoy the site with comments to other people.

I keep messaging Dylan on email and twitter about the troll situation here, but no responses.

I wish I knew a mod here I could contact directly. I think Acuity commented on one of my first few memes, but I haven't seen that one active at all since then.

It's really ridiculous that everyday, and more than once a day, these trolls are flagging and downvoting my comments to I guess keep me from earning points. I keep having to wait and can't use meme comments. Simply because some immature assholes are butthurt trolls.

Imgflip needs a new system that isn't so easy to abuse. And they really need to crack down on trolling. :{O

I think the "comment rep" thing was initially introduced as a measure to help keep trolls at bay, but now it seems like trolls are exploiting it to harass users. :(

Re: staying neutral. It's not so much that I'm neutral, but rather that I just really don't have energy for arguments. I just hate it, so I try to avoid directly arguing with people (sometimes there are exceptions). Mostly this means I talk about things that I agree with people on, or I just ignore other things. Obviously it's hard when users are trashing other users though, because then staying quiet is a tacit approval of that behavior.

Well I don't know if RS and MM are the ones downvoting the stream or not, but I'm really pissed how they filled my 10 Guy meme with flame war comments.

I asked MM not to comment on my memes anymore, but apart from that I'm not really sure how to handle it. I considered just deleting the meme, but I don't really want to do that.

When Sith first started commenting on my memes months ago, I thought he was D2's alt.

Now that he's turned out like this, AFTER Chakotay/D2 makes that threat, it seems like that's what D2 was talking about. Sith.

It's like I was right that he's just another alt account of D2. He even talks shit like D2. I mean just like him.

And now that there's three members all ganged up against me and talking shit about me to other members, THIS is what I meant about being neutral.

It sounds like you're saying Raydog and I have some kind of authority on the site more than other people. We don't, though. If I try to tell RS what to do and what not to do, he doesn't have to listen to me (or to anyone else).

One of the things that people do on imgflip that annoys me most is when people talk about other users (either in memes, or in comments). I feel like everyone's reputation should be left in their control as much as possible. But of course, people talk about other users all the time - they spread rumors about users, and say things about other users as if they're true, when they really have no way of knowing.

But even though I don't like it, I don't see how I can stop it.

Also, I'm not sure if there really is a "community" on imgflip, at least not as much as people say. I see users as basically self-interested.

My situation with Sith is clear cut. It's obvious that he got offended and started trolling me out of spite.

You guys being more popular, should step in to say something to Sith about being a bad member. Same with MM and SMES. They should have popular members telling them off for how they act.

I mean, that's what they think they're doing when they "flame", so why not have popular members come to the aid of members who have been harassed on a weekly basis by trolls like I have since I joined?

You and the other top users could step in by just saying that those members like SMES, MM, and now RS, are being bad users or are detrimental to the site.

And if you allow them to attack me or other users that aren't actually trolling, you're letting them get away with it and enabling them.

This handful of trolls have successfully destroyed my account by constantly running their mouths. If I'm the only one fighting them on it, I'll lose. They have too many alts and love to troll.

Top users could stop that by calling out people like SMES/MM/RS.

Cause if I'm the only one speaking up, they'll just keep being trolls and using people for upvotes,. and using voting circles, and the site will have an LB full of sycophants who suck at making memes, but sucked up enough to users to get votes on comments.

I really hate how Imgflip allows the trolls to survive here. :{

The situation with RS was different than the example with Buggernuts.

Partly because Buggernuts was on your meme. RS was making his own memes.

But also because RS didn't mention you specifically by name in the memes. Therefore it's not immediately clear to an outsider (who doesn't know the history) what his intention was when he made them. That's why it was really easy for me to say something to Buggernuts (and I didn't tell him off, just asked a question about the situation). It wouldn't have been that easy to say something to RS. That's the way I see it, anyway.

Re: MM, SMES, etc, if they harass you on your memes, feel free to send me a comment, and if I'm around I can ask them "Hey why are you doing this?" or something along those lines.

I wasn't asking you to say something to RS because he was trolling me, I wanted you to say something to him when I thought if you talked to him he'd apologize.

It was separate from the trolling issue.

I'm being trolled by Swiggy and Blessyourkhakibritches now. But they really have nothing more than the same tactics the media is using to demonize Trump. :{
