I'm just tired of hearing how this terrible film is being lauded for diversity and equality when it's actually more racist and sexist. By writing her so perfect they mock women's suffrage by negating it with propaganda. Same with Finn being black. The actor was chosen because he was black more than his connection to JJ and his acting "skill".
And, they perpetuate that ugly people are the bad guys. Snoke is deformed, the fat guy that tries to steal BB, and all the new aliens are ugly.
It's mussed up too since she's a dead ringer for Jaina Solo. Finn could easily be Jagged Fel, Corran Horn, or Kyp Durron. Kylo could be Jacen Solo, Jaina's twin brother and Hux could be Anakin Solo the youngest brother(The actors aren't young enough really, but they look young). Phasma could have been Mara Jade, Luke's wife, and Snoke could have been Tsavong Lah, the Yuuzhan Vong Warmaster. Maz could be one of the female Jedi characters (instead of being hidden behind CG) like Tenel Ka Djo or Teneiel Djo. I mean they had all the characters they neeed to do the Yuuzhan Vong story which also includes updated X-wings and some droids. It was right there, f**king right there! lol
