I wanted to use the weird stuffed Persian cat thing to say something about guarding a room not your mouth but I can't meme comment with anything but the popular templates and I was afraid if I download the image to upload it again and use it, that's not actually using the template...

That's the old way, now there is a shortcut, assuming the image you mention is a user template. Use "add an image", inside current image, search for the template and add it. Stretch to cover the picture area. If it is skewed, start from the beginning and start with a popular template with the same shape. Ie if it is multiple pane I usually start with Skeleton waiting, or boardroom meeting.

I prefer the old way, because of:
a) the distortion issue, and
b) the ability to use any image I've found on the net, not just imgflip templates.

What do you mean (about "not actually using the template")?

So if I do the old download up load job, I can call the uploaded image anything I like, "furry_white_freaky_imp_thing" for example and tag it wiv wot eva I likes. Won't that not actually lead to the development of the template? Or am I being thick? P.S. I prefer yellow to pink or blue.

You can hit the Upload Image button without naming or tagging it. You just use it for the meme or in this case, the comment.

To be honest, I'm just glad it was featured. In the past I've had trouble with getting Christian memes or memes with Bible verses featured. :)

I don't see any reason why not... maybe it depends on what image it is presented with? I'm atheist so I only post I Noah Guy, and Jehovas Witness memes ;)
