That won't stop them, it would just be throwing away your freedom and your life. Millennials and later aren't getting involved in public service. They don't volunteer for fire departments, don't run for school boards or town councils. Shaking your fist at the system doesn't stop these things, being a working part of the system with a clear mind and a conscience does. I was on town council, president of the locall chamber of commerce, vp of an economic development group before I was 30 (that's where I heard the Forest Service aspen assessment). I stood up against the cronies and made positive changes, many of which are still in place today. The self serving, self enriching crowd has replaced the public serving people because whole generations aren't stepping up. Great ideas over a beer are one thing, great ideas debated effectively in the public arena are another. If those ideas aren't debated in the right venue, they have no value. People just get pissed off at each other. A generation has to be the constructive change. If everything is torn down, what takes it's place? Nature abhors a vacuum.
