tbh i think it's about the mood of imgflip at the time, fun stream can get bombarded with stupid crap and people sometimes shy away from the other good memes after it

Yeah, the timing of when you submit / feature could make or break you. You don’t want it to feature when no one is online, but you don’t want it to feature in an avalanche either. Then you see what’s popular and think of giving up, lol

yeah, i don't live in the US so i try to post a meme at 10am-12pm US time, which seems to do the work

I kinda agree, most of my points either came from comments, or lucky memes.

I’ve actually deleted some of my duds after they had 200 views and no upvotes, lol. One of the coolest things was one of my first memes was about the movie “Christmas Vacation”. It wasn’t a dud, but it didn’t do great. Then, years later while I was on Facebook, there was a post about “Christmas Vacation” fan club, but the awesome thing is that it showed my meme! The post had a bunch of comments, reactions and shares! When I looked back at my post on here, it had a lot more views than I got myself. Cool stuff 🙂
