It's not enough that most of them are on welfare, they also have to scam US taxpayers out of BILLIONS of dollars too...
6 ups, 3w
So the religion that can't be named rips off every taxpayer and citizen in the state and the left is angry at the President. Got it, evil protects evil.

Don't worry. Nobody will be prosecuted for being Somali.

But anyone stealing millions (some say up to $8 BILLION) dollars from a country that graciously accepted them, should be prosecuted, regardless of which country they were born in.

Um, the latest news on their front here in America since just last week is that they are about to get the boot for being Somalis.

Not surprised me agreeing with this guy saying "Say no to racism against Somalian immigrants!" Got low rated...

Smart of you to add "-that's good" making economic contribution a woke thing about perception instead of... well economics.
At worst and very least, let's say it's also retail, as buying stuff is apparently the Somali community's greatest gift. Allahu Akbar for that eh...

It's the intersectionality of "oppression". Old word first used by the left decades ago, until ridicule quickly took it over this time around. Well some still use it to regain it.
The holiest of untouchables in the woke/postmodern pyramid of totalitarianism, would be a transgender black born male Muslim with downs syndrome (not joking). 4 levels of oppression is the unicorn. It's philosophical thought leaders call themselves intersectional feminists, and are all anti capitalists and against the concept of hierarchy, without a single exception.
Some also add it to their general hardline Socialism, cos it's basically the replacement of the worker as the oppressed. Understandable development since the worker has shown to be a very unreliable voter in the more privileged times. But with gender theory, anyone can become a soldier.

Ah yes. The old meaning. Then came the new crowd and the moment they used it, it was ridiculed.... rightfully so. But woke is the kind word for what we think of the new madness

"Woke is going against status quo, education, acceptance, love and compassion"

No, that's not work. That's just being rebellious. Quite common in young folks..

But no, you're not work.

Actually, the way you wrote that is very woke. In true liberal fashion, where the hoped for outcome is almost never attainable by throwing money at a problem, such as education (grammar in particular), we see that you're against not only the status quo, but also education, acceptance, as well as love and compassion.

Yeah, maybe you are woke.

Dude. It's the same in every western country. Same shit coming up, same media glorifying it. It came most aggressively in the U.S in 2015, and then elsewhere few years later. Black people as the subject was a huge catalyst, which ofc makes sense.
First with huge denial from traditional lefties as something rare, but since then the spread was impossible to not notice in headlines, and then the left just accepted its political application. Culture often trickles down from the U.S to the west, so I kept an eye on it. But it wasn't exactly like that.
It was Universities that went mad through EU appointees. How the west started following the same recipe almost at once, and media followed 4 years later, as if they'd never been Liberal ever.

Well I've been on most sides on the broad political spectrum for 25 years and care about political philosophy before engaging, but what can I say....
This new crap would go against my then vision of Communism, cos it's way too bonkers and dangerously totalitarian at once - luckily I still meet Communists who agree. But Anarchists and Socialists are different. It was obvious that it was Socialists taking in some Anarchist ideas, both in gender principles and its immediate shaming nature

Communism and Socialism is a great idea in THEORY but a terrible practice that would and will never work without oppression

This is good to see that the left has the same general attitude about foreigners commenting on US politics that we on the correct side of the political spectrum do.

I probably should wait until some libtard from England starts spouting how great socialism is and you guys agree, and then point you back to these posts.

1 up, 3w
Why can't he? It's an international site.

Plus at least he admits it. In case you haven't noticed, many, if not most, of these trumpers here are foreigners LARPing as Americans.

Also, unlike nearly all of them, at least he acts in a civil manner.,

Woke = an over sensitivity to social justice issues, at the expense of other far more important issues. Woke is feelings over facts. Woke is an attitude that everyone must agree with the woke elite, aka groupthink, or get cancelled by the same woke elite. But most importantly, the woke are ill-informed or un-informed voters who fall for all the lies told to them by their Dem overlords and their toadies in the media. (think: the border is secure... what a joke...) Look in the mirror if you really want to see a definition of woke.

So you have a problem because he admits that he's not from here?

Have you not noticed something odd about most of the Trumper's here? The lingo they use? The hours they post? The inability to recall the name of the state they supposedly live in while being rather knowledgeable about the going-ons in other countries that the average Americans couldn't find on the map if it was circled in neon red?

Yup nobody (80%) here is American
1 up, 3w
It's really not accidental that they can't remember the state they supposedly live in. They think a state is something like a general location, like some random exit off of a highway.

I guess you don't drive anything that uses gasoline, hey saxy?

Your electric scooter must get you around pretty well, since you haven't noticed a dramatic drop in gas prices.

Prices are dropping for a lot of food items, as well., but you'll deny it.

Don't even mention lowering prescription drug prices, which Biden tried to do, but as with everything else he tried, failed.

No tips on taxes, social security income (that's good for my Mom, what about your parents... wait, they're way too young, with you still being in school and all...)

And imagine, your worst nightmare is that the 'Big Beautiful Bill' is mostly kicking in as of January 1st. That should super charge the economy in time for the midterms.

And that is barely the tip of the iceberg. So sad for dems.

Black? It's Islam in this case. Personally I hope Trump and Co lets the tiny Christian minority stay, cos if they return they're as good as dead, as they're all apostates and therefor in immediate danger in Somalia, just like the estimated 1000 who live there. Other religions and especially apostacy is against their Sharia Law, and punishable by death.
Getting away from the Somali Muslim community might even help their integration in the U.S by mingling with other Christians.
I'm Atheist btw...

You call them a race. Us critics call them a culture rooted in Islam. But everyone has their fav focus I guess
1 up, 3w
Well they are a rather distinct ethnicity as well, with a culture of their own.
2 ups, 3w
Somalis are very very Islamic.
Being from a country that has endured decades of civil war and famine has made them even more hardcore fundamentalists. Sunni warlords have basically stomped out Sufism in Somalia, which was once the majority sect there.

As a mainly pastoralist society, they have a hard time adjusting to life in America and a significant number end up being on public assistance because working at a job is something of an alien concept to them. Doesn't mean none don't, but as a whole they haven't proven to be as adaptable as other immigrant groups tend to be.

Now you get poor people from a war-torn country who are fundamentalists and keep to each other, isolating themselves from the surrounding community, and you have a recipe for radicalism and extremism. Not adept at fitting in, and they have little desire to. With others, that is. Add to that facing a double whammy of discrimination not just because of their religion, but race also, and, well, you do the math.
2 ups, 3w
It sure seems like a racist question... I mean, to even ask that type of poorly conceived gotcha question, doesn't one have to be racist?
