I ran into a bunch of young ones once and backed away slowly when I realized they weren't kittens (it was night and they were in some bushes. There was some light because this was at a parkway, so street lights). They looked exceedingly huggable, but also a bit frightened so I didn't want to bother them.

They were very little and very cute, and all turned in my direction, staring. Not sure if they were shaking their tales up like the bigger ones do in warning, but probably.
