You are right, but it's a good start. When we get better, we can draw them turned to the side or in a fist, etc.

i guess it's alright in terms of a tutorial. I've mostly gotten used to drawing hands because a lot of my characters tend to wear gloves of some kind.

I also wound up drawing a lot of Sonic the Hedgehog characters recently so I really had to lock in for that one.

His tutorials have a lot a lot a lot of drawings like I've seen from people on this stream. It might interest some to check it out.
