IF, as some people like to say, words are literally violence, then this punk screaming in another person's ear is committing a violent act. Self defense is an acceptable response.
I left the military with profound hearing loss, so I'm gonna protect what I have left. I avoid loud noises where possible, or at least wear PPE when I am around loud noises.
